Pai Mu Tan (also known as White Peony) is a delicate, minimally processed white tea made from young tea leaves and buds, traditionally grown in China. Lightly oxidized and gently dried, it preserves the tea’s natural character, resulting in a clean, smooth, and subtly sweet cup with gentle complexity.

Tea Stats:

Caffeine Level: Low–Medium

Flavor Profile: Soft floral notes, light honey-like sweetness, hints of melon and fresh hay, with a clean, refreshing finish

Body: Light-bodied with a silky, delicate mouthfeel

  • Tea amount: 1–2 teaspoons per 8 oz cup

  • Steep time: 2–4 minutes

    • 2 minutes = lighter, more floral and refreshing

    • 4 minutes = fuller body and enhanced sweetness

Wellness Note:

Pai Mu Tan is often enjoyed as part of a balanced wellness lifestyle due to its naturally occurring antioxidants, which may help support overall well-being and hydration. White tea is traditionally associated with gentle, calming energy and is commonly chosen as a lighter alternative to more caffeinated teas. While it can be a soothing daily beverage, it should be enjoyed as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Pai Mu Tan is ideal for those seeking a clean, refreshing tea with subtle flavor and a naturally calming character.
